The dual imagery of the mind’s forest composed of lavish tiny to tremendous vegetation, immensely occupied the atmosphere. Sunlight, water, air — giver and receiver, the ultimate harmony ecology that is mutually co-existing in this place. ‘Panalai’ by Nittaya Hernmak represents the beatitude of being surrounded by pure and mysterious nature. Derived from Thai-Sanskrit ‘vana’ as forest. ‘āśaya’ as dwelling. Panalai means forest dwelling. Through the architectural structure aspect unveils the balance that places one’s own mind in peace. These concepts are captured in the relief printing process of woodcut printing. The process of woodcut printing lets the wooden plate, little by little, carved by the collaboration among mind, two hands and tools. In particular, this process is a metaphor for the forest’s life cycle, the process of regenerating life and decomposing. Aside from this, the process includes coloring, printing each layer, and bringing it back to carve until the printed image is completed. Repeating such a process, in itself, is the determined act of honesty with being in the present. Eventually, the delicate huge scale work of art and craftsmanship obviously shows as a door leading the audience’s emotion to the embrace of forests. Saratta is a compact soulful art space abundant with seasonal selected original arts and limited prints of a talented and new-face artist. Nested inside Reno Hotel, Kasem San 1 Alley. Founded by Patamon Nisabodee with an experience of ten years as a visual designer. With a new role as a curator who conveys feelings as an essence which art curates as a new communication medium. ภาพสมมติแห่งดุลยภาพของผืนป่าพงพนาแห่งจิต อุดมไปด้วยนานาพันธุ์ไม้น้อยใหญ่อันพึ่งพิงอิงกอปรกัน แสงแดด อากาศ สายน้ำ ลำธาร ผู้ให้และผู้รับ กำเนิดเป็นวงจรนิเวศน์ของผืนพนาถ้อยทีถ้อยอาศัยแห่งนี้ ‘พนาลัย’ โดย นิตยา เหิรเมฆ เป็นการนำเสนอความงามของการได้สัมผัสกับธรรมชาติอันลึกลับไร้การปรุงแต่ง ผ่านมุมมองเชื่อมโยงกับโครงสร้างสถาปัตยกรรม ดุลยภาพที่นำมาซึ่งการเป็นที่พำนักแห่งจิต ผ่านกระบวนการพิมพ์ผิวนูน (Relief Printing Process) หรือภาพพิมพ์แกะไม้ (Woodcut Printing) การสร้างแม่พิมพ์แกะไม้ที่ใช้เครื่องมือและสองมือในการแกะสลักทีละร่องละรอย ราวกับการเกิดใหม่และหลุดร่วงไปของเหล่าแมกไม้ใบหญ้าในป่าครึ้ม กลิ้งสีพิมพ์ทีละชั้นและนำกลับมาแกะจนครบทุกมิติน้ำหนัก เป็นกระบวนการทำงานที่มุ่งมั่น ซื่อตรงกับสิ่งที่อยู่ตรงหน้า ออกมาเป็นผลงานขนาดชิ้นมหึมาทำหน้าที่เป็นประตูเชื่อมความรู้สึก ไปสู่อ้อมกอดแห่งพนาลัยอย่างแท้จริง สารัตถะ คือ พื้นที่รวบรวมงานศิลปะ งานสิ่งพิมพ์ของศิลปินและนักออกแบบหน้าใหม่ ซึ่งได้รับการคัดสรร ผลัดเปลี่ยนหมุนเวียนตามฤดูกาล โดยตั้งอยู่ที่โรงแรม รีโน ซอยเกษมสันต์ 1 สารัตถะก่อตั้งโดย พัทธมน นิศาบดี นักออกแบบนิทรรศการประสบการณ์กว่าสิบปี กับบทบาทใหม่ในฐานะภัณฑารักษ์ ผู้นำการสื่อสารมาสู่การสื่อความรู้สึก นำเสนอเรื่องราวที่เป็นแก่นสารของชีวิต ผ่านงานศิลปะ งานสร้างสรรค์หลากแขนง Credit
